Sequoia’s technology
Antifreeze Oil Recycling via Vacuum Distillation
Sequoia offers advanced coolant (antifreeze) recycling systems based on vacuum distillation technology. Our process separates waste coolant into distilled water and >95% pure glycols (ethylene or propylene glycol), suitable for reuse in industrial and automotive applications. A small residue (typically 3–10%) is collected, containing trace oil, spent additives, and sludge from the original antifreeze.
Modular Plant Design
Sequoia manufactures fully modular distillation units . Each module includes:
• Process equipment
• Steel support structures
• Interconnecting piping
• Instruments
• A state-of-the-art control system for safe and efficient operation
The plant is designed to be operated by just one operator and can run 24/7, typically for 8000 hours per year. It also can be quickly started up and shut down, making it suitable for operating just one shift per day if desired.
Throughput & Space Requirements
- Capacity: 30–1200 gallons/hour (115–4500 liters/hour)
- Footprint: 1500 ft² (140 m²), including boiler, cooling tower, and control room
- Tanks: Supplied separately based on customer needs
